EYELINER

Permanent Eyeliner frames the eyes and can make eyelashes appear thicker, darker and fuller. It eliminates the need to apply eyeliner with (makeup) pencil or liquid eyeliner. It can enhance the shape or balance the symmetry of an individual eyes, create the illusion of larger eyes, or affect how the spacing of the eyes is perceived. Permanent Eyeliner can also enhance or intensify eye color and make eyes appear brighter.

For those who like a more natural look, eyeliner is enhanced on the base of the lashes making it appear as though you have full and thick lashes.

For those who like a more dramatic look. Depending on the individual skin, permanent makeup eyeliner can be build up to the desired thickness over the course of multiple sessions.

The procedure is done in two appointments. During the first session i err on the side of caution with thickness, length and color as we can always add more at the second session. It's always a good idea to have a "natural" and "conservative" amount of permanent eyeliner applied, at least during your first session.

PRE-PROCEDURE

  • NO faux lashes. They have to be removed at least 2 weeks prior to the appointment and can’t be put back on until 2 weeks after the touch up.
  • NO lash serums for at least one month before.
  • DO NOT wear contact lenses during the procedure or for 24hrs after.
  • Eyes may be light sensitive, bring sunglasses to wear home.
  • NO lash lifts/tints at least 2 weeks prior and MUST wait 2 weeks after.
  • DO NOT use eyelash curler the day of the procedure.
  • If you have had any type of eye surgery, consult with your physician about how long you should wait before having Lash Enhancement done.
  • Your are NOT a candidate if you have extremely sensitive watery eyes & glaucoma(excessive tears will not allow the pigment to properly hold in the skin).
  • Cease using any skin thinners (Vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation) for 6 weeks prior to your appointment.
  • No facial laser treatments or microneedling within 8 weeks of procedure.
  • DO NOT consume alcohol, caffeine or take any blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin, fish oil 72 hours before your procedure, this may cause excess bleeding and may affect your results).
  • You may experience hypersensitivity and more pain around or during your menstrual cycle.
  • Cease using hair growth serums, they will stimulate more blood flow to the area and cause excessive bleeding.
  • We will not be able to tattoo over any blemishes, sores, and moles in or around the brow area.
  • It is recommended to wash your hair before your appointment to help prevent your eyes from getting wet in the shower the next several days(this does NOT mean you cannot wash your hair during the healing process, just helps as a precaution for the fist few days of healing).

AFTERCARE

For a quick healing process & best results, i recommend my clients do a mixture of "dry healing" and applying an aftercare that I will supply. Allowing your skin to breathe will help your body heal without excess swelling, "weeping" or scabbing. The aftercare I give you will help soothe and protect against infection. Following these instructions to your best ability will result in optimal healing for your body and your new cosmetic tattoo!

Within minutes after your procedure the tattooed area will begin to oxidize and appear darker. This can last up to 10 days depending on your body's healing rate however will soften once the tattoo enters the next phase of the healing process. During the initial phase of healing you may experience minimal scabbing and flaking of the tattooed area - DO NOT pick at it! This is crucial! Picking at a healing tattoo will result in color loss and excess scarring. Once the area has flaked there will be a brand new layer of skin that will appear shiny or "foggy" that will make the pigment look lighter - don't panic! The complete healing process takes about 6-8 weeks for your skin to regenerate and exfoliate, around this time the true color of your eyeliner will be apparent. After 8 weeks touch ups and adjustments may be done.

Eyelids are quite delicate so experiencing swelling and minimal redness is common and will diminish over the first few days after your treatment. You may use a cold compress or Benadryl to sooth or reduce swelling. Eyes may feel dry or irritated so you may use lubricating eye drops. Be sure to have sunglasses available because your eyes may be light sensitive. Try to avoid wearing contacts for 3-5 days after the procedure

CLEANING:

I recommend gently cleaning the area with a q-tip and saline solution twice a day for the first 2-3 days. I wll supply you with an aftercare balm that you will apply 2-3 times a day for the first 7-10 days to protect and soothe.

IMPORTANT:

  • DO NOT pick at your new cosmetic tattoo. This will result in color loss and excess scarring. Allow your body to naturally exfoliate itself.
  • AVOID getting shampoos, face cleansers or harsh soaps on the freshly tattooed area for the 1st week.
  • DO NOT WEAR EYE MAKEUP UNTIL THE TATTOO HAS COMPLETELY FLAKED. If you wear eye makeup before the area has healed and your skin is closed there is a large potential for infection.
  • ABSOLUTELY DO NOT HAVE EYELASH EXTENSIONS APPLIED for at least 6 weeks after your procedure.
  • AVOID salty foods, they can cause excess swelling.
  • KEEP FINGERS AND HAIR AWAY FROM THE TATTOOED AREA.
  • AVOID excessive sweating for 5-7 days after your procedure.
